The SMART roadster assembly line was planned and realised by IPF in 2002. It will be a great pleasure for us to reinstall and commission this modern and by her modularity extremely adaptable plant a second time.
As preparatory measures and in the limited time frame of two days only, the project team have been formed, the time schedule and work plan for disassembly and packing of the equipment have been developed and the supplier were chosen and contracted. Over these all interfaces between SMART France S.A.S and the executive dismantling companies have been identified and clarified as well as all necessary equipment and lay down areas for the temporary storage of the dismantled equipment have been organised. All that and even more just short before Christmas in 2006.
Due to careful preparation and like many comparable tasks we managed for our customers at the car industry in the past, we could fulfil the requirement of Smart FRANCE S.A.S once again.
To point out the extreme short project realisation time, are here some project milestones:
day -2 purchase order received
day -1 planning concluded
day 0 briefing of the project team
day 1 06:00 am start of disassembly
day 7 10:00 pm final acceptance
On time and in time, on the 23rd December 2006 at 10:00 pm all dismantling works were concluded, conveyor equipment and steel work have been packed in the containers, professionally and transportation safe. The building was clean swept and accepted by SMART France S.A.S.
We’d like to say thank you to all our suppliers for the successful work.
It was a logistic masterpiece and a proof of the flexible and innovative methods of the IPF Germany GmbH.
